On a rocky promontory in the middle of a nature reserve, Rochsburg Castle is watching over the valley of the Zwickauer Mulde, demonstrably since around 1190 when it was first mentioned in a document. As one of the first proper castles in that region, the fairy tale-like complex seems removed from time and space. Since 1911 the popular destination is also home to a museum. Here you can, amongst others, experience a fascinating costume exhibition that displays 1,000 years of fashion history.
